Leslie Sturgeon

Leslie P. “Lester” Sturgeon, 65, of Pine Village, IN passed away at his residence on Saturday January 15, 2022. Lester was born in Lafayette, IN January 28, 1956, the son of the late Gordon L. and Dorothy D. (Keller) Sturgeon. He attended both Pine Village and Seeger High Schools. Lester was employed as a farm hand for John Brown and later Mitch Miles, and had previously driven fuel tankers for Standard Oil, later Amoco. He was a big NASCAR fan. Surviving is a brother, David L. Sturgeon (wife Randy) of Oxford and two sisters, Judy Nehrig (husband Steve) of Oxford and Karen Swiney (husband Jim) of Collinsville, IL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Sturgeon. There will be no services held at this time. The family would like to give special thanks to Mitch Miles and Dave Richardson, as well to all of Lester’s friends in Pine Village for their friendship, care and concern shown to Lester.
