James Wang

James H. Wang, 84, of Oxford, IN passed away at his residence Saturday April 15, 2023 at 10:30 AM. James was born in Hammond, IN November 6, 1938, the son of the late Raymond and Roverta (Freyman) Wang. He moved with his family to Oxford when he was 13 years old and attended Oxford schools. He married Delores E. Jensen in Oxford January 13, 1962 and she survives. James was employed with Rostone Corporation in Lafayette for 35 years before his retirement. After retiring from Rostone, he was employed by Benton Community Schools at Benton Central in maintenance for five years before retiring again. He served on the Oxford-Oak Grove Township fire Department for several years and was a former relief deputy for the Oxford Town Marshal. Surviving with his wife, Delores are two sons, James M. Wang (Theresa) of Oxford, Charles E. “Chuck” Wang of West Lafayette; a brother, Robert “Bud” Wang (Karen) of Lafayette and four sisters, Marie Max (Lindy) of Pine Village, IN, Betty Goldsmith (Steve) of Attica, IN, Roberta Budreau (Butch) of Lafayette and Audrey Hardebeck (John) of Fowler. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Wang and by four brothers, Butch, Tom, Bill and Jack Wang. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home in Oxford from 5 until 7 PM Thursday April 20 with cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
