James Phillip Burkhardt

James Phillip Burkhardt, 67, of Ft. Wayne, IN and formerly of Lafayette, passed away at his residence in Ft. Wayne 2:37 AM Thursday November 17, 2022. James was born in Lafayette August 5, 1955, the son of the late Charles J. “Pete” Burkhardt and Elaine A. (Smith) Burkhardt. Surviving are three brothers, Michael E. (Ellen) Burkhardt of Lanesville, IN; Stephen J. (Cynthia) Burkhardt of Miramar, FL and Robert L. Burkhardt of Middletown, IN along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Gail Anne Burkhardt. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lafayette on Monday November 21 at 1:00 PM, Fr.
