Donald Burton

Donald K. Burton, 69, of Boswell, IN passed away at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis 1:25 AM Monday March 28, 2022. Don was born April 4, 1952, the son of the late Cecil and Geneva (Prather) Burton and was a graduate of Benton Central High School. He married Brenda Catron at Bowling Green, MO October 29, 1969, and she preceded him in death January 9, 2010. Donald was retired, having been employed as a construction manager for Fair Oaks Dairy. He previously was employed by Strasburger Trucking and Asgrow Seeds. Don was a former member of the Boswell Grant Township Volunteer Fire Department and loved boating on Lake Cumberland and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are two daughters, Tracy Albertson (Curt) of Fowler, IN; Brandie Burton of Boswell, IN; a son, Heath Burton (Tanya) of Earl Park, IN; a brother, Darrell Burton (Betty Jo) of Lafayette; four sisters, Barbara Happ (Tom) of Boswell, IN; Betty Gibson of Danville, IL; Janice Mills of Kennewick, WA; Kathy Hasser (Tom) of Earl Park, IN; his companion of the last 10 years, Mary McIntyre of Valparaiso, IN and a sister-in-law, Amber Burton of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Kyle and Courtney Albertson, Rylie and Zachary Snedeker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Burton and brother-in-laws Clyde Gibson and D.R. Mills. Friends may call at the Boswell Free Methodist Church from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM Saturday April 2. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
