Yvonne A. Bryant, a devoted and cherished woman whose life was marked by dedication, love, and a zest for living, passed away peacefully at her home on March 17, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on May 25, 1941, in Middlesboro, KY to the late William & Alice Stanifer. She married Joe Bryant Sr. in Lafayette, IN on November 14, 1959. Yvonne’s journey through life was one of unwavering commitment to her loved ones and her faith.

A graduate of Middlesboro High School in the Class of 1959, Yvonne held a deep pride in her education which laid a foundation for her character and work ethic. She spent many years working as a housekeeper & providing other supportive assistance to her very loved clients. Her passion for her work was evident to all who knew her; she truly poured her heart into every task and responsibility.

Yvonne was known for her steadfast devotion to her children and family. She was a woman of great warmth and generosity, someone who made it clear when she cared for you, and her affection was a treasured gift. Her life was deeply Christ-centered, shown in her every day with faith and purpose. Yvonne’s joyful spirit and zest for life inspired those around her, and her compassionate nature made her a pillar within her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Robert Stanifer, Beverly Stanifer, Walter Stanifer, and Onalee Cheek. Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband, Joe Bryant Sr., with whom she shared a life rich in love and partnership. She is also survived by her daughter Kimberly Alexander and her husband Steven; her sons Mike Bryant and his wife Rebecca, and Joe Bryant Jr. and his wife Sherri. Yvonne’s siblings who carry on her legacy include Frank Stanifer and his wife Emma, Alene Redmond, and Margaret Redmond.

Her loving family extended to grandchildren Benjamin (Kelly) Smith, Justin (Felice) Bryant, Ashly Bryant, Eddie Bernard, Conner Bryant, and Elizabeth Bernard. She also took great joy in her great-grandchildren: Sky Smith, Oliver Smith, Maximus Smith, Raine Bryant, and Reese Bryant, whose lives she touched with her enduring love.

The community is invited to honor Yvonne’s memory at the Oxford Church located at 1500 County Rd 1000 W in Lafayette, Indiana. Visitation will be held on March 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Yvonne Bryant’s legacy is one of love, faith, and wholehearted devotion. Her memory will remain alive in the hearts of her family, her friends, and all who were blessed to cross her path. She was, indeed, a great woman—cherished, respected, and profoundly missed. Memorial contributions can be made to: Oxford Church.
