William Weimer, Jr

William A. "Bud" Weimer, Jr., 66, of Lafayette, died at Major Hospital emergency room in Shelbyville, IN. suddenly and unexpectedly at 11:26 PM Monday August 1, 2011 where he and his wife had been to care for her ill father. Mr. Weimer was born in Greensburg, IN. February 6, 1945, the son of the late William Arthur and Averill Cordelia Haley Weimer, Sr. and was a graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. He married Patsy R. Lane in Lafayette, IN. February 7, 1987, and she survives. Mr. Weimer was employed by Public Service Indiana, later Cinergy, for 31 years before his retirement. He was a member of the East Tipp Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge at Mulberry, IN. Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Melissa L. Venable (husband Rick) of Lafayette, IN.; and 2 sons, William A. Weimer, III (wife Lori) of West Lafayette, IN. and Joshua Weimer of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Nelson Davis of Lafayette; Madison Weimer and Brody Weimer of West Lafayette; and Ian Drake Weimer of Lafayette. Private family services will be held.
