Walter "Buck" Harrison

Walter D. “Buck” Harrison, 83, of Linden, IN passed away at Franciscan East St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette 12:57 AM Monday November 6, 2017 where he had been a patient the past two and a half weeks. Buck was born in Clarks Hill, IN May 25, 1934, the son of the late Lowell and Emma Ritchey Harrison and was a graduate of Clarks Hill High School. He married Gayle L. Moore at Crawfordsville, IN January 16, 1954, and she preceded him in death October 17, 2006. Buck was employed at Purdue University 28 years where he retired as a plumbing foreman. He was a member of the Linden Conservation Club, the Moose Lodge in Lafayette and was an avid duck hunter and a member of Duck’s Unlimited. Surviving is a son, Gregory Harrison of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Harrison and a brother, Russell Harrison. Private family graveside services will be held at Linden Cemetery. Hahn-Groeber Funeral & Cremation Service of Linden is caring for the family.
