Vincent Katz

Vincent L. Katz, 74, of Cape Coral , Florida and formerly of Oak Park, IL died at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Fl. Friday April 29, 2016. Vincent was born in Effingham, IL July 31, 1941,the son of the late Vern L. Katz and Irene (Bowlin) Katz, and was a graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington, IN. He married Joan E. Anthrop in Lafayette, IN May 16, 1964 and she preceded him in death September 25, 2007. Vincent was a foreign trade consultant for KC International for many years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the American Legion and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 until 1960.Surviving is a niece, Lea Wallace of Colorado, Springs, CO; three nephews, Lee Katz of Phillipsburg, MT; Robert and Chance Katz , both of Spencer, IN; and by two sisters-in-law, Helen Katz Smith of Alva, FL and Diane Katz of Spencer, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette Thursday May 5,10:30 AM, Fr. Mark Walter officiating, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass.
