Thomas Hoss

Thomas J. Hoss, of Lafayette, died Monday morning December 21, 2015 in his residence. He was born in Crawfordsville, IN April 27, 1947, the son of the late Isaac E. and Dortha E. Odell Hoss. Thomas was a graduate of Lauramie Township High School and attended Montanna State and Purdue University. He married Peggy A. Dodson in West Lafayette, IN June 12, 1971 and she survives. Thomas was a farmer, and later was employed for Rolan Plant Services and Advance Auto Parts. He served in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam War from August 1966 until August 1970. Thomas was a member of American Legion Post 11, along with the National and Indiana Cattlemen's Association. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and rebuilding the old ones. Surviving with his wife is a son, Andrew E. Hoss (wife Sarah) of Delphi, IN, and by a sister, Marjorie L. Hiner (husband Homer) of Huntington, IN. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Lakin, James and Jacob, a niece, two nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Linden, IN from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM Wednesday December 23 Gary Bymaster and Rev. Patty Bymaster officiating. The interment will be held at Union Cemetery near Clarks Hill, with military rites by the US Air Force and American Legion Post 11.
