Thelma Chapman

Thelma B. Chapman, 91, of Romney, IN. died at 3:05 PM Thursday March 28, 2013 at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette where she had been a patient the past 2 months.
Thelma was born in Mudlick, KY., the daughter of the late Homer and Roxie M. Crowe Thomas and was a 1939 graduate of Linden, IN. High School. She married John Henry Chapman at Dayton, IN. March 9, 1942, and he preceded her in death January 12, 1990. She was a beautician in the Linden and Romney area, and was a member of the Romney United Methodist Church, and the Sewing Group at the church.
Surviving is a daughter, Margaret J. Kirkendall of Tulsa, OK. and a son, Gary L. Chapman of Romney, IN. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Maggie Chapman, Kerri Wilson (Matt) and Katie Smith; and by 3 great-grandchildren, Drew Allen, Dylan Allen and Waden Wilson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Lynnette Chapman.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home in Linden from 5 to 7 PM Monday. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home, Pastor Chester Tague officiating, with interment to follow in Linden Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be left at www.hahngroeberfuneralhome.com.
