Suzanne Sherrier

Suzanne Hilt Sherrier, 86 of Brownsburg, IN. and formerly of Vero Beach, FL. died at Brownsburg Meadows Healthcare Center in Brownsburg, IN. 7:19 PM Tuesday May 13, 2014 where she had resided the past 23 months. Suzanne was born in Lafayette July 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Vern and Bess Raisor Hilt. She was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and Purdue University, and did graduate work at Vanderbilt University. Suzanne married Phillip Lee Sherrier in Lafayette at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in 1948, and he preceded her in death April 29, 1997. For many years, Suzanne was a laboratory administrator and chemist in a medical lab in Vero Beach, FL. for a group of medical doctors. Surviving is a son, Phillip Sherrier of Apple Valley, MN.; along with two sisters, Alice Schurman of Lafayette, IN. and Charlotte Thompson of Ojhi, CA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Phillip McIntyre (wife Marlene) of Brownsburg, IN. and Jonathan Sherrier of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; and two great-grandchildren, Grace E. and Phillip T. McIntyre. She was preceded in death by a son David Sherrier in 2005. Graveside services will be held at St. Boniface Cemetery in Lafayette Monday May 19, Fr. Dan Gartland officiating.
