Susan Wright

Susan Ann Wright, 61, of Lafayette, died at Rosewalk Village Healthcare Center in Lafayette 1:03 PM Sunday December 5, 2010 where she had been a patient the past 2 days. She had been ill the past 4 years with breast cancer. Born in Marion, IN. October 27, 1949, the daughter of Walter E. "Buck" and Vera M. Harris Malott, she was raised in Fairmont, IN. and was a graduate of Fairmont, IN. High School. Ms. Wright worked as a bookkeeper, and also as a waitress part-time for various restaurants. She enjoyed decorating, gardening, woodworking and shopping for antiques. Surviving with her parents, who reside in Bronson, Florida is a daughter, Shannon Wagner (husband Todd) of Lafayette, IN.; 2 sons, Scott Wright of Lafayette, IN.; and Frederick A. Thatcher, Jr. of Logansport, IN.; and one brother, Walter E."Sonny" Malott, Jr. of Brandon, Texas. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth M. Malott and a sister, Rosemarie Hall. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME from 10 AM until the service at 11:00 AM Wednesday. Private family interment to follow.
