Ruby Carlson

Ruby Alice Carlson, 91, of Oxford, IN. died at Cumberland Pointe Healthcare Center in West Lafayette, IN. Tuesday July 17, 2012 at 9:05 PM. where she had been a resident since 2005.
Ruby was born in Nancy, Kentucky April 11, 1921, the daughter of the late Chester and Rhoda Wilson Rainwater, and was a 1939 graduate of Oxford High School. She married Maurice Carlson in Oxford February 12, 1941, and he preceded her in death March 7, 2004.
She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church, and was a founding member of the Oxford Musettes in 1941. Ruby loved her family, singing and flower gardening. She assisted her husband on the family farm.
Surviving is a son, Ronald D. (wife Patricia) Carlson of Oxford, and a sister Alta May Seymour of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren 1 niece and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Lee Carlson.
Friends may call at the Oxford United Methodist Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM Monday July 23, Rev. Linda Sproull officiating, with interment to follow at Boswell Cemetery. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the Oxford United Methodist Church.
