Roy Dyer Jr., 83, of Linden, IN went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 15, 2025 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 6, 1941, in Tompkinsville, KY the son of the late Roy & Polly Ann Dyer. Roy was a 1961 graduate of Southwestern High School in Lafayette. He met the love of his life LaDonna Brooks and got married on September 28, 1963 in Lafayette, IN.

Roy spent 46 years working at Milestone Contractors formerly Fauber Construction. He started out as a heavy equipment operator and then spent the last 13 years as the Maintenance Superintendent. He was a remarkable individual known for his toughness, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. A true embodiment of the phrase "work hard, play hard," Roy balanced his career with a zest for life that was contagious. His leadership qualities were evident in all aspects of his life, where he was not only a provider but also a source of inspiration for those around him. Among his proudest accomplishments were his three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Roy nurtured and supported them with all his might, instilling the values of hard work, resilience, and integrity. Roy's spirit shone brightest through his love for the great outdoors. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting, activities that brought him immense joy and a sense of peace.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, LaDonna Dyer of Linden, IN; daughters Jill Lucas (Dan) of Roachdale, IN, Jodi Gable of Lafayette, IN, Jami Crowder (Carl) of Linden, IN; grandchildren Jacob Lucas (Corinne), Kori Phillips (Austin), Brandt Gable (Faith), Samantha Hohenstein (Alden), Keeli Crowder (Riley Coffing), and Karli Crowder; great-grandkids Bexley Hohenstein, Rowyn Cravens, Kennedy Coffing, Bannon App, Kohen Phillips, Teagen Priebe, Ellery Hohenstein, Baden Hohenstein, Korben Phillips, and Branch Lucas; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Braydin Gable; siblings Aileen Ryan, Earline Kerr, Martha Peters, Marge Winger, and George Dyer.

Visitation will be held on July 21, 2025, from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home 321 South Street, Linden, Indiana.
