Patrick Brost

Patrick Gerard Brost, 56, of Syracuse, IN. formerly of Benton County, IN. died in Syracuse Wednesday Sept. 25, 2013. Patrick was born in Lafayette, IN. April 6, 1957, the son of the late Ray and Margaret McAuley Brost. He was a 1975 graduate of Benton Central High School and a 1979 graduate of Indiana University with an accounting degree. He loved to feed the birds and loved decorating for the holidays. Patrick worked in the telecommunications industry with Verizon. Surviving is his life partner of 14 years, Greg Hooley of Syracuse, IN. ; a sister, Brenda Walker (husband Steve) of Indianapolis, IN.; a brother, John Brost of Milwaukee, WI.; nieces and nephews, Jack Walker, Sara and Victoria Walker, Stephen, Kevin and Michael Brost; Greg's three children, Ben Hooley, Lyndsay Hooley, Whitney Miller, who he considered his own and eight grandchildren who he loved and they adored him. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 102 West Luin St., Oxford, IN. from 5 until 7 PM Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oxford, with interment in Oxford Catholic Cemetery, Fr. Robert Klemme officiating.
