Pamela Lockard

Pamela Lee Lockard, age 69 of Lafayette died Sunday July 27 at 1:27 AM in her home after a lengthy illness. Pamela was born in Akron, OH November 7, 1944, the daughter of the late Ralph M. and Tillie (Sarko) Reynolds She was a graduate of Camelback High School in Phoenix, AZ and attended Phoenix Junior College. She married Michael Jon Lockard in Evergreen, CO. June 8, 1979, and he survives. Pamela formerly owned and operated Pamela's Paperworks while residing in Denver and also worked as a legal secretary, office manager, and medical transcriptionist. While most recently residing in the Lafayette area, she was employed at Arnett Clinic and Riggs Community Health Clinic in as a medical biller, Certified Professional Coder, and physician chart auditor. Pamela enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially in the Southwest. She and Mike loved to travel, go camping with Mike's two children, climb 14teeners in Colorado and participate in triathlons. They lived in Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Wyoming and back to Colorado before settling down in Indiana. As a member of the Common Threads Quilt Guild, Pamela was a quilter and a fiber artist, winning ribbons for her quilting accomplishments in Newton and Tippecanoe Counties and the Indiana State Fair. She also served as a volunteer for the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department (VIPS) and as a member of the Sheffield Homemakers Extension Club. Surviving beside her husband is a step-daughter, Kimberle Ellen Lockard (husband Scott Buxton) of Wesley Chapel, FL.; a step-son, Michael Stephen (wife Leslie) of Berthoud, CO.; two brothers, Jeffry Reynolds of Medford, OR.; Thomas Allen Reynolds (wife Leigh Ann) of Tempe, AZ.; and a sister Nancy Kiester (husband Craig) of Shady Cove, OR. Also surviving are 2 grandsons, Kohl Thomas Buxton and Stephen Joseph Lockard; a granddaughter, Paige Eileen Lockard; and Aunt Jeanne Sellers (husband Doug). Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St. from 5 until 8 PM Thursday, with the Rosary at 4:45 PM Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church 10:00 AM Friday, with Fr. Tim Alkire officiating. Memories and condolences may be left at www.hahngroeberfuneralhome.com
