Ottilia M. “Tillie” Clute, 90, of Lafayette, passed away at St. Anthony Healthcare in Lafayette 10:00 AM Tuesday November 28, 2017. Ottilia was born in Lafayette December 29, 1926, the daughter of the late Fred H. and Ottilia Sondgerath Klinker and was a 1945 graduate of Montmorenci High School. She married Lyle E. Clute at St. Charles Catholic Church in Otterbein, IN September 28, 1946, and he preceded her in death October 3, 2016. Ottilia had been employed at Arnett Clinic in Lafayette, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Lafayette; the St. Mary Altar and Rosary Society; Life member of the American Legion Post 11 Ladies Auxiliary; Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary; the 14th Armored Division Auxiliary; Arnett Clinic Retirees; Euchre Club and Alcoa Retirees. Surviving are two daughters, Emily J. Brunton (William) of Ft. Wayne, IN; Dana L. Farrell (Robert) of West Point, IN; two sons, Daryl E. Clute (Terry) of Lafayette; David J. Clute (Jane) of Cicero, IN; two brothers, David Klinker (Sheila) of Lafayette; Victor Klinker (Sheila) of Lafayette; eight grandchildren, Brett (Dawn) & Ryan (Julie) Brunton; Rob (Melia) Farrell & Laura (Josh) Lambert; Sara (Nick) Rooze & Jeff (Kristin) Clute and Adam (Dianna) Clute & Emily (Justin) Rice along with 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Jerome Klinker and by two sisters, Catherine A. Krodel and Mary V. Thornbury. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home from 5 until 7 PM Thursday Nov. 30, with Rosary Service at 4:45 PM Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Cathedral 10:30 AM Friday Dec.1, Fr. Jeff Martin officiating, with interment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
