Mary Lou Terry, 87, of Lafayette and formerly of the Boswell area, died at St. Mary's Healthcare Center in Lafayette Tuesday October 7, 2014, where she had been a patient since January. Mrs. Terry was born in Hoopeston, IL August 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Hazel Marie Musk Chaffee and was a 1945 graduate of Ambia, IN High School. She married Elmer Glenn Terry in Ambia March 15, 1953, and he preceded her in death February 18, 2000. Mary Lou was employed as a head cook at Boswell School from 1973 until 1987. She was a member of the Boswell United Methodist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, cooking and baking. Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Mahoney of Indianapolis; Nancy Jo Terry of Lafayette; Libby Anderson (husband Rick) of Oxford; and one son David Terry (wife Sandra) of Lowell, IN. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Brittany Hays, Cody Anderson and Kyle Terry; and by 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and Madeline Hays. She was preceded in death by a brother Lloyd "Tommy" Chaffee and a sister Betty Chaffee. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM Friday, Rev. Michael Naylor officiating with the interment to follow at Boswell Cemetery.
