Mary Agnes (Behler) Perigo, 90, Indianapolis, formerly of Lafayette, passed away June 29 at Rosegate Village. Mary was born in Lafayette on April 29, 1925 to the late Joseph and Della (Luca) Behler. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School. She was married to Kenneth Marvin Perigo, who preceded her in death in 1993. She was preceded by her sister Helen (Behler) Moore and her brother Joseph L. Behler. She is survived by two sons, Gregory J. Perigo of Fort Wayne and Michael Perigo (Julie) of Indianapolis, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She retired from Purdue University where she was Head Secretary of the Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology. She had previously worked for the Purdue Dept. of Mathematical Sciences, the law firm of Hoffman and Melichar, Tippecanoe County Assessor, and Brown Rubber Co. She was a member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, the Cosmopolitan Club, the Edgewood Club and the St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary, St. Ann Catholic Church in Lafayette, and St. Jude Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She enjoyed golf, card games, and especially her family, neighbors, and friends.

Visitation will be at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home in Lafayette on Tuesday, July 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Ann Catholic Church & Shrine in Lafayette at 10 am on Wednesday, July 8 with Rev. Dominic Young and Rev. Canon Gerald Borawski concelebrating. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to one of the following charities: St. Ann Catholic Church in Lafayette, Caregiver Companion in Lafayette, Purdue University (Dept of Sociology, Dept of Anthropology, or the Center for Aging and the Life Course), the Alzheimer's Association, or the Arthritis Foundation.
