Mary Mitrowka

Mary Mitrowka, 91, of Lafayette, IN and formerly of Spring Hill, FL and East Chicago, IN, passed away at Bickford Cottage Healthcare Center in Crawfordsville, IN Thursday May 4, 2023 where she had resided since 2021. She was born in East Chicago, IN January 18, 1932, the daughter of the late John Misecko and Mary (nee Cuban) Misecko and was a graduate of Washington High School in East Chicao, IN . Mary was married to Juri Mitrowka at St. Peter and Paul Church in East Chicago June 29, 1949, and he preceded her in death June 20, 1993. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Muenster, IN and was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone for 32 years, retiring in 1983. Surviving is a son, George Mitrowka (wife Roberta) of Lafayette, IN along with two grandchildren, Peter & Amy Mitrowka; four great-grandchildren, Brett & Zach Mitrowka and Jessica & Gavin Miller and two great-great-grandchildren, Samantha & Atlas Mitrowka. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Mitrowka and a great-grandson, Gabe Miller. A private family interment will be held at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
