Mary Bloyd

Mary Maxine Bloyd, 89, of West Lafayette, died at St. Mary's Healthcare Center in Lafayette 1:27 AM Monday July 27, 2015. Mary was born in Lafayette June 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Charles and Mae Elizabeth Carberry Crowe and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She married Robert W. Bloyd in Lafayette and he preceded her in death November 23, 2009. Mary was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and had been employed at Green Giant in Lafayette for 25 years before their closure. Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie King (husband Don) of Lafayette, Mary Kae Smith (husband Mark) of West Lafayette, a sister, Mildred "Poody" Buckles of West Point, IN, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Casad, and by three brothers: Charles, Donald and Robert Crowe. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St. Lafayette from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church Noon Thursday, Fr. Stephen Duquaine officiating, with entombment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
