Maria Parkinson

Maria T. Parkinson, 93, of Brookston, IN. died at IU Arnett Hospital Saturday August 30, 2014. Maria was born in Hirschhorn, Bavaria, Germany July 28, 1921, the daughter of the late Ludwig and Christina Holzelwimmer and was educated in Germany. She married William L. Parkinson in Oberammergau, Germany August 1, 1953 and he survives. Maria was a homemaker and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette. Surviving with her husband are three sons, Michael Lynn Parkinson (wife Yvonne) of West Lafayette, IN; William Kenton Parkinson of Dayton, IN and John Christopher Parkinson of Miami, FL; a sister Irmigard Maier of Oberammergau, Germany and 4 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Boniface Catholic Church Wednesday Sept. 3, Fr. Timothy Alkire officiating, with entombment in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
