Margaret Ann Moseley, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at home, surrounded by her children. She was born in Washington D.C. on October 20, 1944, to the late James & Annie House.
Margaret worked for the Bell Telephone Company for more than 20 years, starting as an operator and proceeding upward into management. She was part of the team that devised the breakup of Bell Telephone into the "Baby Bells" like Bell Atlantic, and Bell South, AT&T and Verizon where she went to work until she retired. Following her first retirement, she worked for State Farm Insurance until her final retirement in 1999. In retirement she was a "Snowbird" spending May through October at her home in Lafayette, Indiana and from November through April in Florida just north of Tampa. She spent 24/7 for 365 days a year in retirement with her husband, Bill, for more than 26 years. She loved her furbabies - Bendigo & Scruffy.
She is survived by her husband Bill Moseley; children, Joann (Joseph) Parsons, Jaqueline (Anthony) Mays, Michelle Fletcher, Theresa (Brian) Gorby, Kimberly (Mark) Fickes, Diane (Corey) Perkins and Tina Moseley; siblings, Jeanette Gregory, sister-in-laws Cami (Frank) Winterling, and Susan (Michael) Howard; Memaw to: 24 grandchildren, being closest to her were Kyle, Logan and Lauren Mays as well as 23 great grandchildren with 2 more arriving soon. She was preceded in death by her son William B. Moseley Jr. and sister Audrey Umberger.
Visitation will be held on September 9, 2025, from 4-6 pm at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home on 1104 Columbia St. Lafayette, IN. Another visitation will be held on September 10th, from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM- Rosary will be held right before Mass at 10:30 AM, all at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Lafayette. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to: The Lafayette Diocese Seminarian Fund or Caregiver Companion.
