LuElla Margaret Worland, 84, of Lafayette, died at her residence Monday January 2, 2012 at 3:40 AM due to congestive heart failure.
LuElla was born in Fowler, IN. August 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Ivan and Caroline Pothuisje Nutt, and was a graduate of Fowler High School.
She married Leo Robert "Bob" Worland at Fowler, IN. April 28, 1947, and he preceded her in death September 1, 1996.
LuElla was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Susan Riehle (husband Tom) of Lafayette, IN.; Penny Reed (husband Keith) of Lafayette, IN.; 4 sons, Terry Worland (wife Janice) of Gas City, IN.; Robert Worland of Bunker Hill, IN.; Jim Worland (wife Kim) of Terre Haute, IN.; and David Worland (wife Janet) of Fishers, IN.; one brother, Edgar Nutt of Fowler, IN. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Deno, of Fowler, IN.
Friends may call at St. Mary's Cathedral from the Rosary at 4:45 until 8 PM Wednesday. The body will lie in state from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Thursday, St. Mary's Cathedral, Fr. Eric Underwood officiating with the interment service at 1:30 PM Thursday at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fowler, IN. Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Lafayette, is caring for the family.
