Lois Roberts

Lois Ann Roberts, 86, of Lafayette, died at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette 2:04 AM Tuesday March 22, 2016. She was born in Lafayette October 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Everett and Marie Weyls Klinker. Lois was a graduate of St. Francis High School and the St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. She married Charles E. "Bus" Roberts at St. Boniface Church September 9, 1950, and he preceded her in death August 25, 2003. Lois was a member of St. Mary Cathedral, the Altar and Rosary Society, a member of the Bible Time Line and Christ Renews His Parish, as well as helping count tithes and offerings at St. Mary's. She had enjoyed playing golf and was still playing bridge at the Elks Club. Lois was employed for a number of years at Purdue University, Krannert School of Management as an administrator. Surviving is a son, Jeff Roberts (wife Laura) of Harrison, OH, and by three sisters, Donna Brown of Brookston, IN; JoAnn Miller (husband Ed) of Columbus, IN and Marilyn Gick (husband Joe) of Otterbein, IN. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tyler, Casey and Sydney Roberts; 2 step-grandchildren, Bridgette and Robbie Salatin and a step-great-granddaughter, Zaeleigh. The Rosary will be recited at 3:45 PM Monday, March 28, with visitation until 7:00 PM at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary Cathedral 10:30 AM Tuesday March 29, Fr. Jeff Martin officiating, with entombment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
