Linda M. Kult, 68, of West Lafayette, formerly of Oxford, died at her residence Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 1:00 PM after a brief illnes
Linda was born in Lafayette, IN. January 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Russell and Cleatith Brown Nesbitt and was a graduate of Oxford High School.
She married James A. Kult at Lafayette in St. Mary's Cathedral, August 14, 1965, and he survives. Linda was a hairdresser for 25 years, and later worked for the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Boswell for many years before retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Oxford and loved to refinish furniture.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Keith Kult (wife Janet) of Otterbein, IN.; Roger Kult (wife Denise) of Bloomington, IN.; a sister, Joyce Schulte of Lafayette, IN.; her step-mother, Eleanor Nesbitt of Tucson, AZ.; a sister-in-law, Marylyn Nesbitt of Oxford, IN.; and a brother-in-law, Stan Abramowski of Ft. Wayne, IN. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Brett, Aaron, Mary, Nicholas and William Kult. She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Nesbitt, a sister, Marjorie Abramowski and a brother-in-law, George, Schulte, Jr.
There will be no visitation, but a Mass of Christian Burial for family and friends will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oxford 11 AM Monday, Fr. Robert Klemme officiting. Interment will follow in Oxford Catholic Cemetery. If friends desire, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Oxford or to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
