Kathleen Walker

Kathleen Walker, 79, of Veedersburg, IN. died at her residence in Veedersburg 12:50 AM Friday September 23, 2011. She was born in Glasgow, KY. July 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Roscoe P. and Mamie J. Clark Walker and attended schools in Glasgow, KY. Ms. Walker had worked as a nurses aide for the former Turtle Creek Nursing Home in Lafayette, the Clarks Hill, IN. nursing home and the Ben Hur Home in Crawfordsville, IN. She enjoyed cooking, baking, the outdoors and her chihuahuas. Surviving are 2 daughters, Linda K. Beckelhymer of Veedersburg, IN.; Jackie L. Holt (husband Jerry) of Kingman, IN.; 3 sons, Steven J. Shelley and Keith Shelly (wife Teresa) both of State Line, IN.; David M. Matheson of Crawfordsville, IN.; 2 brothers, Wesley Walker of Florida and Roscoe Walker of Covington, IN.; and 2 sisters, Thelma Mason (husband James) of Lafayette, IN. and Vera Maxine Gallivan of Kingman, IN. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Linden from 5 to 7 PM Monday. Funeral service at the funeral home 10:00 AM Tuesday, Pastor Mike McCollum officiating, with interment to follow in Linden Cemetery.
