Judith Ann Simpson, 70, of Oxford, died at Green Hill Manor in Fowler, IN 8:25 AM Thursday June 17, 2010. Born February 13, 1940 in Detroit, MI., the daughter of the late Harold and Eleanor Garriott Miller, she attended schools in Detroit, and graduate from high school there. She married James D. "Jim" Simpson at Fairview, MI. December 22, 1979, and he preceded her in death June 10, 2005. Mrs. Simpson had resided in Oxford the past 15 years, and had been employed as a driver for Benton Community Schools, as well as owning and operating the Garden Gate Ceramic Studio in Oxford. She was a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church. Surviving is a son, Steve Hilliard (wife Theresa) of Bear Lake, MI. and a sister Marilyn Allison of Houghton Lake, MI. Also surviving is a granddaughter Sarah Hilliard, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 3 great-nephews and 2 great-nephews. Preceded in death by 1 sister and 1 brother. A memorial service will be held at the Fowler United Methodist Church 11:00 AM Saturday, Revs. Phil Abram and Linda Sproull officiating, with interment to follow at Fowler Cemetery.
