Judith Ann Jezierski, 81, of Plainfield passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Judi was Born on September 22nd, 1944 to Nicholas and Florence (Bertello) Sobczyk in Chicago, IL.

Judi had a lifelong passion for nursing and educating. She began her career as a surgical orthopedic nurse after graduating with her RN from Roseland Community Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She continued her education and obtained her BSN from Loyola University of Chicago in 1970 and MSN from Saint Xavier University in 1981 where she met her husband, Deacon John Jezierski (deceased). The couple were married on September 24, 1976, at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Riverdale, IL.

She went on to serve as a nursing instructor at Augustana in Chicago, IL, from 1979 to 1984. During her career, Judi authored multiple textbooks on nursing and statistics in nursing before retiring in 2013.

Judi was an active member of the church, serving in many different capacities, but she was most proud to serve as the woman’s formation leader for the Lafayette area deaconate program. In addition to serving the church she along with her husband Deacon John acted as the national priest scheduling couple for Marriage Encounter from 1992 to 2012. Judi was undeniably committed to her husband and a loving mother and grandmother.
