Jesse Pruett

Jesse P. Pruett, 70, of Crawfordsville, IN. died at Indiana University Health, Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Sunday Feb. 27, 2011, where he had been a patient the past 3 weeks. He was born in Waveland, IN. May 4, 1940, the son of the late Ronald W. and Louis May Staggs Pruett. Mr. Pruett was a graduate of Coal Creek High School, and was employed at R.R. Donnelly & Sons for 48 years, retiring in 2008, where he had been a pressman. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Eagles and Moose Lodges all in Crawfordsville, IN. Surviving are 3 daughters, Phyllis A. Synesael (husband Kenny) of Lafayette; Cindy L. Davis (husband Jerry) of Linden, IN.; Nattra E. Threet of Fairview, TN.; 3 sons, Phil Pruett (wife Cheryl) of New London, CT.; Andrew Pruett of Evansville, IN.; Terry Pruett (wife Susan) of Spartanburg, S.C.; and a sister, Shirley Franklin (husband Richard) Bloomington, IL. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Pruett, and by 3 brothers, Max, Gerald and Russell Pruett. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Linden from 5 until 7 PM Thursday.
