Janet Haynes

Janet Louise Haynes, 72, of Battle Ground, passed away at her residence on Tuesday December 7, 2021. Janet was born December 27, 1948 in Lafayette, the daughter of the late John Joseph and Katherine Mary (Weast) Halsema and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She married Larry Duane Haynes March 8, 1969 in Lafayette, and he preceded her in death September 1, 2020. Janet had been employed with Agrico Fertilizer in Rossville and later for the Purdue Apple Farm. She is survived by one son, Joseph N. Haynes of Austin, TX and by four sisters, Marjorie Staley (Greg) of Lafayette; Connie Rehwinkle of Lafayette; Colleen Fisher (Joe Holsclaw) of Lafayette and Joan Liphard of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Halsema and by two sisters, Nancy Shaw and Mary Ellen Reaster. A service of inurnment will be held at St. Mary’s Columbarium in the Spring of 2022.
