Irene Anderson

Irene M. Anderson, 87, of Lafayette, died at Woodland Manor Healthcare Center in Attica, IN. 8:15 AM Monday April 23, 2012, where she had been a patient since November of 2011.
Irene was born in Lafayette, IN. February 1, 1925, the daughter of the late Claude J. and Minnie Kahl Wright, and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the IRS and WAZY Radio and retired in 1971.
Irene married C. Herbert Anderson in Lafayette October 23, 1949, and he preceded her in death October 4, 2008.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ; a charter member of the Chicago Cubs Diehard Fan Club; Jefferson High School Alumni Association; AARP; NARFE; and a former member of Pi Beta Psi Sorority.
Surviving is a niece, Cheryl Napier of Attica, IN.; 2 great-nieces, Melissa Martin and Victoria Martin, both of Del Valle, TX; a great-nephew, Rusty Napier of Lafayette; and a great-great nephew, Alex Martin of Del Valle, TX. She was preceded in death by a nephew, James E. Napier and a sister, Jeanette Napier.
