Gerry Lord

Gerry R. Lord, 38, of Lafayette and formerly of Oxford, IN passed away Sunday May 28, 2017 at IU Arnett Emergency Room in Lafayette of a heart attack. He was born in Lafayette March 25, 1979, the son of the late Bruce E. and Donna M Childers Lord and attended Benton Central High School. His marriage was to Summer R. Lord in Lafayette June 16, 2016 and she survives. Gerry was employed by Framing, Inc. as a framer. He was a Tough Mudder, enjoyed being outdoors and dirt track racing. Gerry enjoyed fishing, camping and being a dad. Surviving with his wife is a son, Bentley O. Lord of Lafayette; a step-daughter, Grace E. Miller of Lafayette; a step-son, Mikah W. Bell of Lafayette; a sister, Nichole M. Schunot (husband Clifford) of Cambridge, MN; by three brothers, Bruce E. Lord, Jr. (wife Kelli) of Oxford; Kurtis M. Lord (wife Lilly) of West Point, IN and Jordan S. Lord (wife Heather) of Lafayette. Also surviving are two nieces, Kerrigan and Klohe Lord; and two nephews, Oliver Crowder and Anthony Schunot. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford from 11:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM Monday June 5, Larry McMillan officiating. The interment will follow at Pond Grove Cemetery near Otterbein. If friends desire, memorials may be made to Summer Lord for the benefit of Gerry’s children.
