Gerald Redinbo

Gerald Ansel Redinbo, 80, of Lafayette, died at Creasy Springs Health Care Center 6:45 AM Wednesday March 4, 2014 where he had been a patient since February 18. Gerald was born in Lafayette November 18, 1934, the son of the late Ansel and Mary C. Steinmetz Redinbo. He attended St. Lawrence School and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. Mr. Redinbo was employed as a rural mail carrier with the US Postal Service for 37 years. He attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, caring for his yard and working on his automobiles. Surviving are two daughters, Susie Craw (husband Kevin and Karen Dalton (husband Michael), of Lafayette; two sons, Rusty Redinbo of Lafayette and Steven Redinbo (wife Kristin) of Mooresville, IN; a step-daughter, Lu Ann Hornbeck of Spring Hill, TN; four step-sons, Rocky Hession (wife Marilyn), Douglas Hession (wife Karmine), Thomas Hession (wife Sherry) and Eugene Hession (wife Lori) all of Lafayette; two sisters, Katherine Myers (husband Earl) of Indianapolis and Ann Witham of Lafayette; and by two brothers, Fr. Joseph Redinbo of Albuquerque, New Mexico and James Redinbo (wife Helen) of Lafayette. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Redinbo. A memorial service will be held at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette at 10:30 AM Monday, Fr. Eric Underwood officiating.
