Genelyn Yeoman

Genelyn M. "Gene" Yeoman, 76, of West Lafayette, died at her residence 9:30 A.M. Saturday June 14, 2008. Born in Remington, Indiana May 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Eugene L. and Eleanor M. Emond Sego, she graduated from Remington High School in 1949. Mrs. Yeoman had worked as a secretary at Purdue University. She married Edward S. Yeoman at Remington, Indiana July 16, 1955, and he survives. Mrs. Yeoman was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, had served as a CCD teacher at St. Thomas, and was active in various other activities at the church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, cooking, reading, doing crafts and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving with her husband are 7 daughters, Barbara Jean Gotham (husband Doug) of West Lafayette; Carolyn Marie Clem (husband Neal) of Cutler, IN.; Bonnie Sue McQuinn (husband Scott) of Forest, IN.; Annette Britton (husband Ted) of Battleground, IN.; Mary Elizabeth McDaniel (husband Danny) of Lafayette; Rita Jackson (husband Steve) of Lafayette; Eleanor Jean Comer (husband Matt) of Yuma, AZ.; a son, Jon Edward Yeoman (wife Cindy) of Monticello, IN.; 3 sisters, Freda M. Brock, Monticello, IN.; Mary R. Kenworthy of Indianapolis; Rita A. Keller (husband Mick) of Indianapolis; and 3 brothers, Robert J. Sigo (wife Frances) of Orlando, FL.; Edward Townsend of Caldwell, ID.; and Leonard E. Sigo (wife Carole) of Remington, IN. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUENRAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St. from 5 until 8 P.M. today, Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, Fr. Daniel C. Davis officiating. Entombment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
