Frank Storms, 91, of Romney, Indiana passed away Saturday May 2, 2026 after a brief stay at Mulberry Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.

Frank was born September 13, 1934 to Albert (Bud) and Leota (Witsman) Storms at his parent’s home near Romney. He graduated from Romney High School in 1952 and from Purdue University in 1956. Frank served in the United States Navy from 1956-1959 achieving the rank of Lieutenant and continued as a reservist until 1962.

Frank married Phyllis Christine Johnson on March 7, 1957 in Linden, Indiana. After resigning his commission in the Navy, Frank and Phyllis began farming in the Wingate and Romney area. Frank also worked later in life for Childress Farm Supply and Murphy Trailer Sales until his retirement in 2004.

Frank was an avid Purdue University basketball and football fan and enjoyed raising and showing cattle locally and nationally. His memberships included the Romney United Methodist Church, American Chianina Association and American Angus Association. Frank was a strong man of faith, integrity and family, rarely missing any events that his wife, kids or grandkids were involved in.

Frank is survived by his wife of 69 years, Phyllis and their five children; Jeff (Michelle) Storms of Romney, Keith (Julie) Storms of Romney, Kevin (Andra) Storms of Darlington, Roger (Tanya) Storms of Lafayette and Kathy (Monty) Korte of Zionsville: grandchildren, Katelyn (Sean) Rizer, Katrina Storms, Trevor (Chloie) Storms, Taylor Storms, Colby Storms, Jarrod Storms, Sarah Storms, Samantha (Stephen) Sells, Spencer (Emily) Storms, Emma (Jack) Kellison, Jack Korte, Tess Korte: great grandchildren, Cain, Penn, Trae and Reid Storms, Lux and Estie Kirby, Duke and Pierce Rizer, Beau, Gracie and Archie Sells. Frank is also survived by his brother Joe (Patricia) Storms and his sister Judy (Kenny) Bridwell.

Frank was proceeded in death by his parents, Albert (Bud) Stoms and Leota Witsman Storms, a daughter in-law Stacy Gropper Storms, and granddaughter Erin Rebecca Storms.

Special thanks to all of the staff at Mulberry Health and Rehabilitation Center and the Red Crest Hospice nurses and aids for the great care and support they provided.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 8 at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home located in Linden. Services will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, May 9 at the funeral home, led by Pastor Kevin Smith. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery near Stockwell.
