Faye Max

Faye M. Max, 102, of Pine Village, IN died at Williamsport Nursing and Rehab Center in Williamsport, IN 12:15 AM Thursday April 28, 2016. Faye was born in Rockville, IN March 24, 1914, the daughter of Albert A. McCown and Bertha M. (Fletcher) McCown. She was a graduate of Pine Village High School and was a homemaker. Faye married James L. Max at Fowler, IN January 28, 1933, and he preceded her in death May 1, 1976. She was a member of Pine Village United Methodist Church and the Order of Easter Star at Pine Village. Surviving is a son, James L. "Lindy" Max (wife Marie) of Pine Village, along with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen M. Fry and a sister in infancy. Graveside services will be held at Pine Village Cemetery 10:00 AM Tuesday May 3, with her nephew, Mr. John Hegg officiating. Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home of Oxford is serving the family.
