Elizabeth Buffington

Elizabeth Jane (Kester) Buffington, 93, of Mulberry, IN. formerly of Albia, Iowa, died at Mulberry Health and Retirement Center 3:09 AM Monday June 20, 2011 where she had resided the past four and a half years. She was born in Albia, Iowa June 7, 1918, the daughter of the late George and Edna Hickenlooper Kester, and was a graduate of Albia, High School. Prior to residing in Mulberry, Mrs. Buffington resided in Lafayette, IN. and was a longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio, where she was employed by Riverside Methodist Hospital. Surviving is a sister, Marilyn Illingworth (husband Merle) of Albia, Iowa. Also surviving is a niece, Patricia Gascho (husband David) of Lafayette, IN. and a nephew Milton Cragg (wife Susan) of Ft, Wayne, IN. along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Buffington was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Harriet Cragg and Maude Gibbons; and a brother, George R. Kester. Friends may call at the Sinnott-Pierschbacher Funeral Home, Albia, Iowa from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Saturday, with graveside services immediately following at Oak View Cemetery, the Rev.
