Elaine Woolf

Elaine M. Woolf, 89, of Lafayette, died at Indiana University Arnett Hospital 6:15 PM Friday July 1, 2011. Mrs. Woolf was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin July 28, 1921, the daughter of the late Hugh and Susan Vanderbloomen Reindl, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She married Robert C. Woolf in Manitowoc, Wisconsin April 27, 1957, and he preceded her in death November 11, 2010. Mrs. Woolf cleaned for St. Mary's Cathedral for 35 years, as well as working at the rectory. She was employed at Lafayette National Bank, later known as NBD Bank as a cook in the cafeteria for several years, having previously worked for Vogue Cleaners. Mrs. Woolf was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, the St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society; enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds; loved to sew, crochet and work word search puzzles. Surviving are 2 daughters, Kathy Lynch (husband Steve) of Battle Ground, IN.; Jean Woolf of Lafayette, IN.; a son, Joseph Woolf of Lafayette, IN.; and a sister, Rita Hartman of Manitowoc, WI. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Hugh, Gregory and Jerry Reindl and by 2 sisters, Monica Wisniewski and Marie Hartlaub. Elaine cared deeply for her family and her church. Friends may call from the Rosary at 4:45 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Fr. Dan Gartland, Celebrant, and Msgr. Fred Potthoff, Frs. Eric Underwood, Ambrose Ziegler and Robert Klemme, con-celebrants officiating with interment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
