Dorothy Moore

Dorothy Griffiths Moore, age 100, passed away at 8:25 PM at St. Anthony's Healthcare on Thursday January 22, 2015.
Dorothy was born in Gary, IN. on December 17, 1914. She married Harry Griffiths on November 28, 1935. Harry passed away on August 17, 1979. Dorothy moved to Lafayette where she spent the rest of her life. She married Richard Moore on March 29, 1991. Richard passed away on July 4, 2001. Dorothy enjoyed Gourmet cooking, antiques, decorating, bridge, jazz and traveling. She was also devoted to her family. Dorothy was an angel on earth and touched many lives. She is now our Guardian Angel in heaven.
Surviving are two daughters: Cery Durling (Bob) of Ellenton, FL and Cary Rush (Steve) of Lafayette, IN. A step-daughter, Janice Williams (Wayne) of Bonita Springs, FL and a stepson, Steve Moore (Nita) of Lake Oswego, OR and a brother Tom Allman (Jane) of Lincoln, NE.
Also surviving are three granddaughters: Janie Long (Fiance Bill Palmer) Emily and Megan Rush (fiancAC. Trent Downey) along with three step-granddaughters, Elizabeth Moore, Julie and Sandy Williams; two grandsons: Bryan Biddiscombe (fiancAC. Winnie Liang) and Todd Rush; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Long (Shanna) and Stephanie Long; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Long Jr., Karmyn and Rilynn Long.
There will be a private graveside funeral, Fr. Paul M. Graf and Fr. Samuel J. Kalu officiating. Memorials may be sent to LIGHTHOUSE, a safe place facility for at-risk teenagers in Lincoln, NE.
