Donna M. Lord, 54, of Oxford, died at Seton Specialty Hospital in Lafayette 6:30 AM Tuesday August 11, 2009. She had been in failing health the past 3 years. Born June 5, 1955 in Lafayette, the daughter of Mary Ester Lockard Hobson and the late Gerry Robert Childers, she attended Tri County High School, and graduated from Benton Central High School. She married Bruce E. Lord, Sr. in Oxford, IN. June 16, 1973, and he preceded her in death December 7, 2004. Mrs. Lord was a member of the United Methodist Church, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well as enjoyed sewing and flower gardening. She had worked at Lafayette Venetian Blind from 1992 until 2008. Surviving is her mother, Mary E. Hobson of West Lafayette. IN.; 1 daughter, Nichole M. Schunot (husband Clifford) of Oxford, IN.; 4 sons, Bruce E. Lord, Jr. (wife Kelli) of Oxford, IN.; Gerry Lord of Oxford, IN.; Kurtis Matthew Lord (wife Rebecca) of Lafayette; Jordan Scott Lord of Greencastle, IN.; 2 brothers, Kenneth R. Childers (wife Jacquie) of Lafayette, IN.; Stephen D. Childers of Battle Ground, IN.; and a sister, Martha Ada Hanson (husband Jerry) of Brookston, IN. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Kerrigan, Anthony; Cora, Aubrie, Chandler, Courtney and Autumn. Preceded in death by a sister, Jamie R. Carnahan and a niece, Kristie M. Hanson. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford, from 5 until 8 PM Thursday. Funeral services at HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME 1:00 PM Friday, Rev.
