Donald E. Woerner, 73, of Oxford, IN passed away at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Saturday March 5, 2022 at 9:30 PM where he had been a patient since February 25. Don was born in Indianapolis, IN August 25, 1948, the son of the late Merrill and Doris (Wilson) Woerner. He was a graduate of Oxford High School and Greer Technical Academy in Chicago. Don married Rebecca A. Buhr at New Buffalo, MI August 9, 1969 and she survives. Professionally, Don was a truck driver for Road Way Trucking, serving local routes around the Lafayette and Indianapolis areas and received an award as a safe driver, having traveled over one million miles without an accident. He was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church and enjoyed target shooting, woodworking and cabinetry building. Surviving with his wife Rebecca is a daughter, Amy Tarvin (Patrick) of Williamsport, IN and a brother, Edward Woerner (Karel) of Lafayette. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford, from 10:00 AM until the funeral at 11:00 AM Tuesday March 15, Pastor Linda Sproull officiating.
