Deborah Taylor

March 22, 1975 — July 22, 2014

Deborah Ann Taylor joined family and friends in heaven on July 22, 2014. Debi will be missed for her kind, caring heart. Those who knew her best will miss her laughter, her funny stories, and her willingness to serve and put others first. Debi was born in Lafayette March 22, 1975 and graduated from Jefferson High School. She attended Indiana University receiving her Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Debi worked briefly as a closing agent for Stallard and Schuh and, then, Title First but found her passion for serving others and enjoyment while working at The Checkerboard Tavern and then most recently at Kokoro. While working she continued her education receiving an online degree as a Paralegal. She loved meeting new people and interacting with her regular customers who became like family to her. Debi enjoyed being with her close friends, especially Brad Shumate and Bryan Smith, and Steve Simons. She would enjoy a trip to the beach when she could get away and watching her nephew's sports game. She boasted about her nephew Austin and her adorable nieces Madeline and Amelia. She will be greatly missed by her parents, Art and Ann Taylor, her brother Matthew and sister in law Beth Taylor, nieces Madeline and Amelia of Fishers, and sister Kimberly and brother in law John Sharp, nephew Austin Taylor, nieces Sarah and Abby Sharp of Dayton, IN. She is comforted in heaven by her grandparents, an uncle, aunts and close family friends who preceded her. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St. Lafayette from 5 until 8 PM Monday, with the Rosary service at 4:45 PM Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Cathedral 10:30 AM Tuesday, Fr. Jeff Martin officiating. If friends desire.
