Cornelius Rayman

Cornelius J. Rayman, 81, of Lafayette, died at Regency Place in Lafayette 7:15 AM Saturday February 5, 2011, where he had been a patient for the past 3 years. Mr. Rayman was born at Round Grove in White County, Indiana December 16, 1929, the son of the late Phillip O. and Lodema Harris Rayman. He was a 1947 graduate of Round Grove High School, and served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Doris A. LeBeau at Goodland, IN. June 9, 1962, and she preceded him in death June 30, 1999. Mr. Rayman was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, American Legion Post 11, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154 and the Knights of Columbus. He worked at ALCOA for 38 years, retiring in 1993 as an inspector. Surviving are 2 daughters, Adriana C. Corbin (husband Robert) of Lafayette, IN.; Susanna E. Brown (husband Michael) of Lafayette, IN.; 3 sons, Michael A. Rayman (wife Traci) of Brownsburg, IN.; Mark A. Rayman (wife Stacy) of Lafayette, IN.; and Patrick A. Rayman of Indianapolis, IN.; a sister, Marilyn Johnston of Lafayette, IN. and a brother Paul L. Rayman of Montrose, CO. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph and Phillip Rayman. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from the Rosary at 4:45 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday, St. Mary's Cathedral, Fr. Dan Gartland officiating, with interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery with American Legion graveside rites.
