Charles Wildner

Charles E. Wildner, 70, of Oxford, IN. died at University Place Healthcare Center in West Lafayette Tuesday November 15, 2011 at 11:17 PM.
Charles was born in New York, New York December 31, 1940, the son of the late Edgar F. and Adele Ficken Wildner.
He was a graduate of Mepham High School, Long Island, New York, and attended Hofstra University in New York.
Mr. Wildner served in the US Army from 1959 until 1962 as a cryptographer.
Charles married Patricia M. O'Grady in Seaford, New York November 12, 1965 and she survives.
Mr. Wildner was employed as a comptroller for ITT 23 years before he retired. He and Patricia moved to Florida, where they operated a florist and gift shop in Palm Harbor for 15 years before moving to Oxford in 2004.
He attended Oxford United Methodist Church; was a member of the International Friendship Program at Purdue; enjoyed traveling, model trains and classical music.
Surviving with his wife are 2 daughters, Christine P. Velasquez (husband Rich) of Lake Worth, FL.; Joanne Gray (husband Adam) of Oxford, IN.; a son Kenneth Charles Wildner (wife Andreea) of Palm Harbor, FL. and a sister, Audrey Sears (husband Raymond) of Grantham, New Hampshire. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Michael & Sabine Wildner; Megan & Katie Searson; Brandon, Geana, Erin & Cooper Gray.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford from 10 AM until the service at 11AM Monday, Rev. Linda Sproull officiating, with interment in Danville National Cemetery, Danville, IL. 1:00 PM EST Monday. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the Benton County Food Pantry.
