Carolyn Fiddler

Carolyn Jean Fiddler, 76, of New Richmond, IN. died at her residence Sunday moring May 20, 2012. Carolyn was born in Indianapolis, IN. October 6, 1935, the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Snipes Minton.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and St. Vincent's School of Nursing, both in Indianapolis.
Carolyn married Donald E. Fiddler in Indianapolis December 26, 1953, and he preceded her in death October 30, 2000. She and her husband moved to New Richmond in 1973, and were co-owners of New Richmond Grocery from 1973 until 1986.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Christine L. Riedy of Fishers, IN.; Theresa R. Barnes (husband Marvin) of New Richmond, IN.; 5 sons, Michael J. Fiddler of Indianapolis, IN.; Steven J. Fiddler (wife Lisa) of Daphne, AL.; Mark K. Fiddler of Indianapolis, IN.; Douglas A. Fiddler of Rossville, IN.; Brian M. Fiddler (wife Polly) of Fishers, IN.; 3 brothers, Ralph Minton of San Antonio, TX.; Fred Firsich of Bedford, IN.; Robert Minton of Carmel, IN.; and 3 sisters, Mary Helen Brown of Indianapolis, IN.; Phyllis Duncan of Noblesville, IN.; and Joann Weiker of Westfield, IN. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernadette S. Fiddler.
There will be no visitation. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
