Carolyn Louise Fassnacht

Carolyn Louise Rowe Fassnacht, 88, of Lafayette died April 27, 2025 at Franciscan Health in Lafayette. Born January 30, 1937 in White County Indiana, daughter of the late John Carl Rowe who died in April of 1954, and Dora E. Plant Rowe Anstett. Dora remarried again in 1959 to John W. Anstett, both preceded her in death.

Carolyn went to Round Grove School and graduated from Wolcott High School in 1955. She worked at Hooks Drugs for 10 years and retired from Radisson Hotel in 2001. Carolyn was a parishioner of St. Boniface in Lafayette, Carol enjoyed word books, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, cross stitching and solitaire. Carolyn married Walter Francis Fassnacht on April 18, 1964 at St. Boniface Church in Lafayette.

Surviving with her loving husband Walt are her 4 loving sons Carl (Brenda), Jeffrey, Brian (Shelli), and Michael Fassnacht as well as her brother Byron Lee Rowe. Carol was a loving Grandma to 8 grandchildren and a loving Gigi to 16 great grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by siblings Fredrick Eugene Rowe and Lois Jane (Rowe) Dring.

Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 4. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 5 at 9:30 AM with procession to St. Boniface Church to follow for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
