Betty Fletcher

Betty Lee Fletcher, 88, of Otterbein, IN died at Rosewalk Village Healthcare Center in Lafayette 10:15 PM Tuesday February 28, 2017 where she had been a patient since December. She was born in Sims, IL February 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Chester R. and Alice E. Miller Weber. Betty married Robert L. Fletcher at Springfield, IL March 4, 1949, and he preceded her in death November 14, 2005. She was a member of the Greenhill Art Club, enjoyed painting, gardening and her cats, along with being an avid Purdue University Basketball fan. She is survived by two daughters, Robin Ray (husband Cecil) of Otterbein, IN; Bobbie Alexander of Springfield, IL and a son, Brett D. Fletcher of Clarks Hill, IN. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Madonna Fletcher, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Fletcher, a granddaughter, Aubrey Lockard; one brother and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at Armstrong Chapel Cemetery 1:00 PM Tuesday March 7, Pastor Bonnie Shoaf officiating. In memory of Betty, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the humane society of the donor’s choice. Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Lafayette is honored to serve the family.
