Barbara A. "Bobbie" Jensen Muller, 81, of Lafayette, died at Lafayette Home Hospital 10:52 AM Saturday April 18, 2009. Born in Chicago, Illinois August 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Christian and Florence Griffin Jensen, she had resided in Lafayette the past 32 years and had graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, IL. She was married to Kenneth Muller from 1949 until 1977. Mrs. Muller was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette; was a founding member of NAMI (National Alliance for Mentally Ill); and was a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital gift shop and the Lafayette Food Bank. She enjoyed building doll houses and furnishings; music and dance; flower arranging, ceramics and poetry. Surviving are 5 sons, Clifford Muller (wife Tricia) of Lafayette; Douglas Muller (wife Linda) of Crown Point, IN.; Phillip Muller of Chicago, IL.; Steven Muller of Imperial Beach, CA.; Bradley Muller of Lafayette, IN.; 2 daughters, Kathleen Jones (husband Jim) of Las Vegas, NV. and Elizabeth Muller of Lakewood, CO.; 2 sisters, Joan Carl of Villa Park, IL. and Helene Seidel (husband Bob) of Gonzales, TX.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Florence Mitchell. Barbara was her happiest when she was with the people she loved. That was almost everyone she knew, but especially family, children and teens. Many, many young people over the years have called her mom. She was the epitome of compassion and caring, and loved being a mom. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St. from the Rosary at 4:45 PM until 8 PM Monday. Mass of Christian Burial 3:00 PM Tuesday, St. Lawrence Church, Fr.
