Agnes Korty

Agnes G. Korty, 95, of Lafayette, died at St. Mary's Healthcare Center in Lafayette 7:20 PM Tuesday October 27, 2009. Born in Montmorenci, Indiana September 9, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John Leo and Cecelia E. Schick Vaughan. Mrs. Korty was a graduate of St. Francis High School, and was a homemaker. She married Raymond V. Korty at Decatur, Alabama June 3, 1942 and he preceded her in death January 28, 1966. Mrs. Korty was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, the Lafayette Porcelian artist's Association and the Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are 4 sons, Donald L. Korty (wife Mary Kay) of Statesboro, GA.; Paul L. Korty (wife Terri L.) of Overland Park, KS.; Louis R. Korty of Lafayette, IN.; and David J. Korty (wife Kay) of Plainfield, IN. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St. from 9:30 AM until the service at 10:30 AM Monday, Fr.
